By shunning the chemical fertilisers, weed killers and pesticides that indiscriminately kill friends as well as foes, and undermine the soil’s rich, natural life-force, we have encouraged a tireless army of beneficial insects, beautiful birds and other small creatures that keep pests under control as part of a natural, supremely effective ecosystem. Just as nature intended.
        It’s free and it’s green (or sometimes red, or blue, or brown...). And it won’t cost the Earth.
